Established for over 48 years

SAMA was established in 1978 by our chief instructor Hanshi Alan Gibson 9th Dan who has over 67 years martial arts experience. SAMA has become one of the largest professional karate and kickboxing groups in the UK with thousands of students training weekly.

Classes

We teach Children’s karate for 5 year olds and above and kickboxing for 7 year olds and above. With over 50 separate classes running throughout our areas we have plenty of choice and flexibility for our parents and students to benefit from.

Our Areas

Our areas of Bexhill, Hailsham, Eastbourne, St Leonards, Hastings and Battle were set up and still run by our head instructor Shihan Lee Gibson who has over 43 years martial arts experience. We have now also expanded into our brand new area of Ashford which is being overseen by Shihan’s highest graded instructor Yondan Liam O’Hara.

First setting up karate and kickboxing classes in Eastbourne over 27 years ago, Shihan Gibson along with his instructors continue to work extremely hard and are always looking to grow all aspects of SAMA and offer more to our members.
